We’ve put together a short but very handy list of annual events that celebrate Brazilian culture in Toronto. They have been playing a very important role in promoting our music and dance as well as informing, educating and entertaining!

November 14-17, 2019

Toronto Samba Encontro

From the producers of the Canada Samba Congress, Toronto Samba Encontro connects dancers and artists with world renowned Brazilian choreographers in a weekend of workshop series and choreographic works in process. The dance festival includes over 12 hours of Brazilian dance workshops including Samba No Pé, Afro Samba, Rio funk and more! The party has an incredible line up of Brazil’s top artists, live music and dance performances!

May 2020

Canada Zouk Congress

The 6th edition of the congress will happen between May 13 and 18th, 2020. Organized by dZouk Productions, the event bring to Toronto top teachers from all over the world and level-controlled workshops give you the maximum learning experience. Social dancing is full of fantastic dancers with epic music.

June 2020

LulaWorld Festival

The festival brings  to stage international guests, local super stars with Latin blues, soul and salsa, alongside Brazilian forró, samba and MPB. The 15th annual festival spans over ten days in June 2020 and is presented by Lula Music and Arts Centre. It happens mostly indoors at Lula Lounge (a venue you must check their program out as it includes regular Brazilian dance parties!), but also outdoors during Dundas West Fest.

International Brazilfest

Entering its 17th year, the annual Toronto BrazilFest is an outdoors celebration of Brazilian culture in Toronto. It offers live Brazilian music, dance, food, arts and crafts and activities for the whole family!
