EVENT & MARKETING ASSISTANT

B. Arts is looking for a Events & Marketing Assistant to help to organize, running and promoting our events. We are always looking for individuals who share our excitement and passion for the arts and the Brazilian culture.

About the position:

Marketing: design and send monthly newsletter; promote events on Social Media and websites.

Events: be a host (ess) in workshops and events; attend fairs, shows and events to promote B. Arts (booths) providing courteous service, answering questions and being the face of the organization; event registration administration; email and phone communication with artists, speakers, and participants; minute taking; and other assigned duties.

The ideal candidate should have:

– A passion for arts and culture and ethnic arts forms

– Experience in event coordination and promotion

– Interest in the Brazilian culture and arts forms

– Outstanding customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills

– Experience working with MailChimp, and  Social Media platforms.

– Excellent communication and writing skills

– Understanding or experience working in ethnic arts forms in the context of Toronto and the Gta.

– Ability to take concise meeting minutes and prepare reports.

– Excellent knowledge and experience with the following: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Job Description:

Contract: 1 year

Salary: Volunteer

Hours: 3-6h/ weekly

Location: Toronto, ON
