ONLINE & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

B. Arts is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to promote B. Arts brand and the work of the Brazilian arts community on Social Media sites. We are always looking for individuals who share our excitement and passion for the arts and the Brazilian culture.

About the Position:

In this role, you will create and lead the social media marketing calendar and are responsible for posting pictures, articles, videos, events and relevant content on Facebook and Instagram accounts on a regular basis. You will also be requested to share promotional material on Facebook communities and groups to promote the work of our organization. Other responsibilities may include the creation of events or groups to facilitate communication with community members. Occasionally, you may be requested to upload and (or) edit videos to be posted on Youtube, and update content on the website.

The ideal candidate should have:

– A passion for arts and culture and ethnic arts forms

– Interest in the Brazilian culture and arts forms

– Experience working with all social platforms including Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

– Experience maintaining website content and working with WordPress.

– Basic understanding of video editing

– Excellent communication and writing skills

– Understanding or experience working in ethnic arts forms in the context of Toronto and Gta.

– Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese, and Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) not required, but would be a plus.

Contract: 1 year

Salary: Volunteer

Hours: 3-6h/ weekly – Flexible working hours

Location: Work from Home

EVENT & MARKETING ASSISTANT

B. Arts is looking for a Events & Marketing Assistant to help to organize, running and promoting our events. We are always looking for individuals who share our excitement and passion for the arts and the Brazilian culture.

About the position:

Marketing: design and send monthly newsletter; promote events on Social Media and websites.

Events: be a host (ess) in workshops and events; attend fairs, shows and events to promote B. Arts (booths) providing courteous service, answering questions and being the face of the organization; event registration administration; email and phone communication with artists, speakers, and participants; minute taking; and other assigned duties.

The ideal candidate should have:

– A passion for arts and culture and ethnic arts forms

– Experience in event coordination and promotion

– Interest in the Brazilian culture and arts forms

– Outstanding customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills

– Experience working with MailChimp, and  Social Media platforms.

– Excellent communication and writing skills

– Understanding or experience working in ethnic arts forms in the context of Toronto and the Gta.

– Ability to take concise meeting minutes and prepare reports.

– Excellent knowledge and experience with the following: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
